We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our growing team. All positions are remote but require residency in Texas.
1. Local Event Curator & Content Writer (Part-Time/Contract)
- Location: Multiple Openings (Austin, Houston, DFW, San Antonio, West Texas, Gulf Coast)
- The Role: You are the eyes and ears on the ground in your region. You will be responsible for researching, verifying, and writing engaging descriptions for local events, festivals, and “things to do” in your assigned area. You live for knowing what’s happening this weekend and love to share your discoveries with others.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively research and source event information from community boards, official sources, and local networks.
- Write clear, compelling, and accurate copy for event listings.
- Verify event dates, times, and locations to ensure data accuracy.
- Identify and highlight unique, under-the-radar local happenings.
- Who You Are:
- A resident of Texas with deep knowledge of your local city/region.
- An excellent writer with a keen eye for detail.
- A self-starter who is highly organized and resourceful.
- Passionate about local culture, food, music, and events.
2. Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist (Full-Time)
- Location: Remote (Texas)
- The Role: You will be the voice of TexasFinder.org across our digital channels. Your goal is to grow our audience, engage our community, and drive traffic through creative and strategic marketing campaigns.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a social media content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Create engaging content (graphics, short videos, posts) that highlights Texas events.
- Manage and grow our email marketing newsletters.
- Analyze campaign performance and optimize strategies for growth.
- Who You Are:
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing or social media management.
- Proficient with social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), and basic graphic design (e.g., Canva).
- A creative storyteller with strong analytical skills.
- You have a data-driven mindset and are obsessed with metrics and growth.
3. Web Developer (Front-End Focus) (Contract-to-Hire)
- Location: Remote (Texas)
- The Role: You will help us improve and maintain the TexasFinder.org website, ensuring a fast, user-friendly, and visually appealing experience for our visitors. You’ll work on implementing new features and optimizing our site structure.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Implement new UI/UX designs and website features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Optimize website performance for speed and mobile responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues.
- Collaborate with the team on technical projects and improvements.
- Who You Are:
- Proficient in front-end web development languages (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
- Experience with a CMS (WordPress, Webflow, or similar) is a plus.
- A problem-solver who is detail-oriented and cares about user experience.
- A portfolio of previous web work is required.
